We've built websites for ten years, and everything we do and offer as a company is planned around building websites for a lot longer. Our services have changed over time and will continue to change to match the needs of small businesses and the individuals who seek our help. How much does a website cost?Since every business is different and requires a different website, we don't try to box you into a package. You can use our Estimate Request form to tell us what you want, or you can simply contact us to schedule a free consultation. During our consultation, we can talk about your business, what your ideas for the website are and what we recommend based on everything you tell us. We will follow up with a proposal that outlines the details of the services we will render and the guaranteed estimate of the project.What is the process for developing a website ?Our website development process is very simple and easy to follow. There are four simple steps, from beginning to end:1. Request an Estimate: You can either fill out our Estimate Request form, telling us exactly what you want, or you can schedule an appointment for a free consultation. Once we know your needs and specifications, we develop a proposal with a guaranteed estimate. You can either accept the proposal or work with us to modify the details.
4. Preview & Publish: With your design and content completed, we will build your website. We will send you a private preview so you can request revisions and changes. We will change anything that falls within the original proposal, such as text, photos, page names, layout, etc. Additional pages or add-ons not included in the agreed upon estimate will require additional estimates. Once you are satisfied with your website, you can choose to publish it live to the Web. What guarantees do you offer?We guarantee our estimates in every proposal. Even if we underestimate the time it will take to complete a project, we won't charge you extra.
Content & Media CreationBecause websites are more than just a design on a page, we offer several services to help you fill your pages with text, photos and media, including animation, movies and sound. You can also provide your own content and media for no additional charge as long as you provide them in a format we can use. Also, please note that we can create content and media as a stand-alone service, meaning you don't have to purchase a website from us to take advantage of our Content & Media Creation services. Flash MultimediaIf you want animation or even application development, we recommend Macromedia Flash. We specialize in coding Flash Actionscript, which means we can develop anything from simple animations to complex, database-driven software.You can request a quote through our Estimate Request form, or contact us to schedule a consultation. CopywritingOur copywriter understands the unique needs of website text. It obviously has to sell your visitors, to make them feel comfortable and to lead them to pick up a phone or write an email, but text also has to "sell" the search engines. If you're looking to boost your search engine rankings, nothing will help more than improving your text to appeal to both audiences, your customers and the search engines.We typically charge $50 per page (8.5" x 11") of text, and we may need to gather some information from you. You know your business and your audience better than we do, but we will take your knowledge and turn it into copy that can deliver customers and search engines. Stock PhotographyEvery service you purchase includes the use of our stock photography associate, Clipart.com. At no additional charge, you can browse Clipart.com's database of photos, illustrations and clipart and choose the images you want on your website. Simply send us the ID numbers of the images and we'll get them for you.Please note that the use of Stock Photography requires the purchase of any other service, and the images obtained from Clipart.com can only be used for that service.
Site Add-onsSometimes, websites need more than just basic pages. If you want more for your website, such as search engine optimization, E-commerce or a content management system, then you'll need our Site Add-ons service. Please note that we generally only provide Site Add-ons to customers who purchase our website development service. However, exceptions can be made so please contact us to see if we can still help you. Search Engine OptimizationUsing researched and tested techniques, we can optimize your website to improve its chances of ranking higher on search engines such as Google. Because we don't resort to any underhanded tricks that may actually get your website banned from the search engines, we cannot guarantee you will be #1 or that you will even see results within three months. Be wary of any company that does make such guarantees as they are either trying to trick you or trying to trick the search engines.If you want to know our means of optimizing your website, you can read our article on Search Engine Optimization. Everything we do is legitimate, won't get your website banned from the search engines and will improve your rankings over time. E-commerceIf you want to display products on your website, whether visitors can purchase online or not, you will need an E-commerce solution. Full E-commerce websites include payment methods, such as credit card verification, but we can also develop online catalogs to display your products and services with a request form so you can follow up more personally. Whether you need a lot or a little, we can work with you to find the best solution at the most affordable price.We are experienced working with the following E-commerce solutions and partners: Miva Merchant, OSCommerce, VeriSign, NOPCart, PayPal, Cafe Press and VStore. Each of these businesses offers a different solution at different prices. Some are free, others will cost money. Depending on your business needs, we will recommend the best solution for you, and we will also discuss why other solutions might not be the right choice. Content Management SystemsA CMS, such as Mambo, will allow you to update and maintain your website through any computer with Internet access. If you anticipate making numerous updates to your website each month, then a CMS can save you money over time. The one-time fee of implementing this add-on will be quickly offset against the small monthly fees of having a web developer maintain your website for you.Our preferred content management system is Mambo, but we are also experienced working with Trellix/SiteBuilder. Both systems are user-friendly and feature Microsoft Word-like editors for text and images.
HostingAny website needs a place to "live" so visitors know where to find it. Hosting is the equivalent of renting an apartment for your website, though not nearly as expensive. We welcome customers who already have a host, and we will do our best to work with the hosting company. However, if you need a host, we can provide that service for you. Hosting Plans and Monthly PricesWe offer several hosting plans to accomodate both small and large websites. To fully understand our plans, you will need to know the definition of two terms:Storage Space: The amount of physical space your websites occupies on our server, usually in megabytes. Each page, graphic, movie, even each letter, will increase the size of your website. (Most websites will fit on our lowest plan.) Bandwidth: The amount of data transferred between our server and other computers, usually in gigabytes. Typically, the more visitors you have, the higher your bandwidth will be. (Most websites will not need more bandwidth than our lowest plan provides.) Our Hosting Plans:
Web Hosting Control PanelIncluded with every hosting plan is a CPanel that allows you to log in and access various features like statistic programs, webmail, file manager, scripts and more.
